The technical department at Stockholm Repairyard continues its work on the project related to Sonihull, where we see growing interest. Rumors about Sonihull and Stockholm Repairyard as a distributor in the Nordics are spreading quickly.
We are focused on ensuring the shipyard remains at the forefront of the green transition. Shipping offers great potential for exploring green solutions, and we see this as an important and exciting challenge. Our hope is to contribute to greener shipping in the Baltic Sea region and establish ourselves as a green supplier with a broad portfolio. The demand for green technology is high, and Sonihull plays a central role in this transition.
Sonihull develops an ultrasonic system installed on the ship’s dry side to send ultrasound through the hull to the outside, creating an unfavorable environment for organic material. This system can be installed on, for example, propellers, box coolers, plate heat exchangers, and bow thrusters. The benefits are numerous: hull cleaning needs to be performed less frequently, saving money for shipping companies, and the system reduces the ship’s fuel consumption.
The technical department will be responsible for implementing Sonihull’s system in the initial phase and will receive training on its functions and installation process to maximize efficiency.
