Lazarus subscribes to new shares in Jydsk Aluminium Industri to become the company’s majority owner alongside existing shareholders
Jydsk Aluminium Industri – also known as JAI – is one of the largest and most automated gravity die casting foundries in Europe with more than 70 years of experience. JAI develop aluminium casting parts for leading industrial enterprises worldwide in the field of high-voltage, pump systems, robots, maritime engines and drive systems as well as the automotive industry (primarily trucks, motorbikes and e-mobility).
During the past years, JAI has experienced headwinds due to COVID and inflation which has led the company to be financially over-leveraged. In spite of this, the company, thanks to its management, has maintained solid client relationships and performed well in a very challenging market.
“From a Lazarus standpoint, we love what we see at JAI (client base, team and company positioning), we love what they’ve done (strategic focus) and we love the potential of the company (growth of aluminium gravity die casting parts in JAI’s existing customer base as well as among adjacent industries). We are looking forward to work with all of JAI’s stakeholders to support the company in deleveraging its balance sheet while continuing the implementation of its strategy so that we can capitalize on the opportunities ahead of JAI”, says Yann Blandy, Partner at Lazarus Industriförvaltning AB.
The transaction closed on June 10th, 2025, date at which Jydsk Aluminium Industri became the tenth company in the Lazarus family.
