Stockholms Reparationsvarv is getting a new CEO as Jakob Söderbaum takes on the role. Current CEO Ludwig Lindkvist is moving on to a new position within parent company Lazarus Industriförvaltning, focusing on defense-related investments and acquisitions.
Ludwig Lindkvist has served as CEO of Stockholms Reparationsvarv for close to two years. Under his leadership, the company has continued to develop as one of Sweden’s leading repair yards, offering services including maintenance, repair, modification, and life extension of vessels.
“Ludwig has done highly valued work at Stockholms Reparationsvarv, and we’re pleased that he’s now taking the next step within Lazarus. His experience and background in the military will be valuable as we strengthen our focus on investments in the defense industry,” says Martin Alsander, Lazarus Industriförvaltning.
The new CEO will be Jakob Söderbaum, who has extensive experience leading and developing companies. He has previously served as CEO of Lazarus-owned BrandFactory and Nordic Brass Gusum, among others, and has held several senior positions in Swedish business.
“Stockholms Reparationsvarv has broad and deep expertise, a strategic location, and an important position in the market. I look forward to working together with the employees to continue developing the business and build on the work already underway,” says Jakob Söderbaum.
The market for ship repair, maintenance, and modernization is developing positively, driven by increased demand, particularly from Swedish government authorities. Jakob Söderbaum takes up the role of CEO on September 9, 2026.
